Home Rule Tax Update
The Online Taxpayer portal is now available for Individual Use Tax. It is available for both self-assessment and bill pay if you received a Notice from the department.
Individual Use Tax (IUT) – The Cook County Use Tax is imposed at the rate of 1% on the selling price of tangible personal property (i.e. - automobile, truck, boat, aircraft, motorcycle, snowmobile, trailer, mobile home, etc.) purchased through a sale at retail and titled or registered at a location in Cook County.
